What is the difference between ethics and law?
ethics are principle and rules that just guide conduct in professional interactions
-laws are prescribed by the state and have to be followed
Difference between ethical codes and ethical conduct?
conduct is the behavior we show while living by the codes
4 Reasons that ethical codes are imperfect guides for behavior
1-broad, abstract, vague, ambitious
2-multiple, competing principles may apply
3-may conflict with federal and/or state
4-tend to be reactive
APA general principles (ethics)

Standards
