What are the three criteria of informed consent?

A
  1. INFORMED- A Research subject is informed if and only if she has received all relevant information about the purpose of the research project, how it will be carried out, and in what way it will affect her.
  2. VOLUNTARY- If the subject is completely free of coercion, threat and negative influences such as social and economic pressure.
  3. DECISION-MAKING-CAPACITY - The subject must have the capacity to make decisions on his own. This means under no threat, and being mentally able to make decisions for yourself.

What is Kantianism?

A

A normative theory of ethics. Part of the deontological school of thought. Says that all actions should revolve around some kind of duty.
