The beliefs, principles, and rules determining what is right and wrong

Your values/views on what is right vs wrong

Consequentialism (3)
-case by case
-what are the consequences of the choices/actions
-promotes welfare/wellbeing
Utilitarianism (2)
-branch of consequentialism
-what is best for the majority, not the individual
Deontology (3)
-being right is prioritized over what is good
-law is absolute, context doesn’t matter
-a choice or action is only right if it conforms with the moral norm
Categorical imperative
-the only thing truly good is good will.
Ie. its the thought that counts (altruism)

Allow animals to be self governing
Justice
Treating all animals and people fairly and equally
Principalism
promotes good while minimizing harm

Character trait present in an individual, varies
