Ethical guidelines
A set of principles set by the BPS for the psychologists to conduct the research honestly.
Social sensitivity
Studies and theories where there are potential consequences or implications, either directory for the participants or the individuals the research represents.
Ethical issues
The conflict between the rights of the participants and the aim of the researcher (protection, deception)
Deception
Hiding the truth from the participants which is necessary at the time but cost benefit analysis, full debrief is given after.
Debrief
Discussing the findings of the study with the participants, provide intervention if needed.
Protection
Keeping the data hidden after the experiment.
