what is the topic sentence?
The main point or position that a writer develops and supports in a particular paragraph
what is the sentence outline?
A plan for an essay that includes complete sentence versions of the thesis statement of the essay as well as of the topic sentence for each body paragraph
what is the heading?
Lines at the beginning of an essay assignment in MLA format containing information about the student, the professor, the course, and the due date; these lines take the place of a separate cover page. (Be careful not to confuse heading with header, which should be placed at the top right corner of each page and includes only the student’s last name and the page number.)
what is a parenthetical reference?
Note in the body of an essay in MLA format that identifies the source of a citation by providing the author’s name and page number
what is a block quotation?
A citation of more than four lines which must be indented entirely on the left side

List of sources including complete bibliographical information found at the end of an essay written in MLA format
