Prescriptivist: there is a right and wrong way to use language; associated with falling standards, laziness and sloppiness with little regard for the actual contexts in which language occurs
Descriptivist: language is interesting, as are the changes within it; no language, accent or dialect is better than another and all varieties are equal in status
