Will live forever
The last 4 things
Death = new phase of life that isn’t something to fear as it is just the start of eternal life. Soul is judged by god
Judgement = god will consider everything u have done. Moment when we accept responsibility for our actions
Heaven = state of eternal happiness in the presence of god
Hell = a state of eternal separation from god
Purgatory
Purgatory = a process of cleansing which removes the effect of sin
Particular judgement
Particular judgement = immediately after a person dies when god judges someone on a personal basis
Final judgement
At the end of time, Christ will come to glory at the end of time and judge the whole of creation.
Afterlife
Many Christian’s don’t believe in purgatory and believe u are not judged as soon as you die
Parable of the rich man and Lazarus
Love and kindness will lead to heaven
Money can make u forget the needs of others
Hell is a place of torment cut off from god
People in hell are aware of heaven
Not possible to move from heaven to hell
Having faith will lead to going to heaven
Cosmic reconciliation
The idea that the whole of universe will be reconciled with god
When Julian of Norwich saw Jesus she said its ”necessary that there should be sin , but all shall be well”.
