• not shaking the volumetric flask thoroughly after adding the distilled water to 250cm
• not rinsing the burette and pipette with the correct solutions
• not rinsing all the solid from the weighing bottle
• ensuring there are no air bubbles in the stem of the pipette

What are the error values in balances,pipettes and burettes ?

Pipette = +- 0.05
Burette=+- 0.05 X2 =0.1CM3
Balance=reads to 0.01g so +-0.005g since two reading are always taken
