A

This is the ‘sandpapering’ effect of pebbles grinding over a rocky platform often causing it to become smooth.

A

When the water dissolves certain types of rocks through soluble chemicals, e.g. limestone.

A

When waves smash against cliffs. Trapped air is forced into holes and cracks in the rock eventually causing the rock to break apart.
