Main safety concerns:
•Firearm hazards-All guns should be kept in safe and locked location away from the child’s reach
.•Poisoning-Use safety caps an all medicines and toxic household product. Use safety locks on drawers and cabinets.
- Falls-Lock the door to any dangerous area, use gates on stairways and install window guards above the first floor.
- Burns-Use playpen when cooking or ask another caregiver to take the child away from the kitchen area.
- Drowning-Never leave the child unattended in or near a bathtub, pail of water, wading or swimming pool, or any water, even for a moment.
- Car safety-Use car safety seat every time the child rides in the car . All infants and toddlers should ride in a rear-facing car safety seat
