A

A

Stage 2: Children who struggle and who are shamed for their accidents may be left without a sense of personal control. Success during this stage of psychosocial development leads to feelings of autonomy; failure results in feelings of shame and doubt.

A

The ability to do things independently and the feelings of self control, self confidence, self reliance and competence.

A

Stage 3: Children who are successful at this stage feel capable and able to lead others. Those who fail to acquire these skills are left with a sense of guilt, self-doubt, and lack of initiative.

Stage 7: Generativity - a person’s concerns with others beyond their immediate family with future generations and the nature of the society and world in which these generations will live.
Stagnation - refers to boredom, inactivity, too much concern with personal needs and comforts and a lack of personal growth

A

Stage 8: Integrity - a sense of satisfaction with one’s achievements in life and a belief that all that happened in the course of one’s life has been useful, valuable and meaningful.
Despair - Bitter feelings of hopelessness, involving lost opportunities, mistakes that were made and the sense that life has been meaningless and empty.
