- PCL – OFF or STARTER switch – AUTO/RESET
Emergency Engine Shutdown on the Ground
- PCL – OFF
- FIREWALL SHUTTOFF HANDLE – PULL
- EMERGENCY GROUND EGRESS – AS REQUIRED
Emergency Ground Egress
- ISS MODE SELECTOR – SOLO
- SEAT SAFETY PIN – INSTALL (BOTH)
- PARKING BRAKE – AS REQUIRED
- CANOPY – OPEN
IF CANOPY CANNOT BE OPENED OR SITUATION REQUIRES RIGHT SIDE EGRESS:
- CFS HANDLE SAFETY PIN – REMOVE (BOTH)
- CFS HANDLE - ROTATE 90° COUNTERCLOCKWISE AND PULL (BOTH)
- UPPER FITTINGS, LOWER FITTINGS, AND LEG RESTRAINT GARTERS – RELEASE (BOTH)
- BAT, GEN, AND AUX BAT SWITCHES – OFF
- EVACUATE AIRCRAFT
Abort
- PCL – IDLE
2. BRAKES – AS REQUIRED
Engine Failure Immediately After Takeoff
Sufficient Runway Remaining Straight Ahead
- AIRSPEED – 110 KNOTS (MINIMUM)
- PCL – AS REQUIRED
- EMER LDG GR HANDLE – PULL (AS REQUIRED)
- FLAPS – AS REQUIRED
Engine Failure During Flight
- ZOOM/GLIDE – 125 KNOTS (MINIMUM)
- PCL – OFF
- INTERCEPT ELP
- AIRSTART – ATTEMPT IF WARRANTED
IF CONDITIONS DO NOT WARRANT AN AIRSTART:
- FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE – PULL
- EXECUTE FORCED LANDING OR EJECT
Immediate Airstart (PMU Norm)
- PCL – OFF
- STARTER SWITCH – AUTO/RESET
- PCL – IDLE, ABOVE 13% N1
- ENGINE INSTRUMENTS – MONITOR ITT, N1, AND OIL PRESSURE
IF AIRSTART IS UNSUCCESSFUL:
- PCL – OFF
- FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE – PULL
- EXECUTE FORCED LANDING OR EJECT
IF AIRSTART IS SUCCESSFUL:
- PCL – AS REQUIRED AFTER N1 REACHES IDLE RPM (APPROXIMATELY 67% N1)
- PEL – EXECUTE
Uncommanded Power Changes/Loss of Power/Uncommanded Propeller Feather
- PCL – MID RANGE
- PMU SWITCH – OFF
- PROP SYS CIRCUIT BREAKER (Left Front Console)-PULL, IF Np STABLE BELOW 40%
- PCL – AS REQUIRED
IF POWER IS SUFFICIENT FOR CONTINUED FLIGHT:
- PEL – EXECUTE
IF POWER IS INSUFFICIENT TO COMPLETE PEL:
- PROP SYS CIRCUIT BREAKER – RESET, AS REQUIRED
- PCL – OFF
- FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE – PULL
- EXECUTE FORCED LANDING OR EJECT
Compressor Stalls
- PCL – SLOWLY RETARD BELOW STALL THRESHOLD
- DEFOG SWITCH – ON
- PCL – SLOWLY ADVANCE (AS REQUIRED)
IF POWER IS SUFFICIENT FOR CONTINUED FLIGHT:
- PEL – EXECUTE
IF POWER IS INSUFFICIENT TO COMPLETE PEL:
- PCL – OFF
- FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE – PULL
- EXECUTE FORCED LANDING OR EJECT
Inadvertent Departure from Controlled Flight
- PCL – IDLE
- CONTROLS - NEUTRAL
- ALTITUDE - CHECK
- RECOVER FROM UNUSUAL ATTITUDE
Fire in Flight
IF FIRE IS CONFIRMED:
- PCL – OFF
- FIREWALL SHUTOFF HANDLE – PULL
IF FIRE IS EXTINGUISHED:
- FORCED LANDING – EXECUTE
IF FIRE DOES NOT EXTINGUISH OR FORCED LANDING IS IMPRACTICAL:
- EJECT (BOTH)
IF FIRE IS NOT CONFIRMED:
- PEL – EXECUTE
Smoke and Fume Elimination/Electrical Fire
- OBOGS – CHECK
a. OBOGS supply lever – ON
b. OBOGS concentration lever – MAX
c. OBOGS pressure lever - EMERGENCY
Chip Detector Warning
- PCL – MINIMUM NECESSARY TO INTERCEPT ELP; AVOID UNNECESSARY PCL MOVEMENTS
- PEL – EXECUTE
Oil System Malfunction or Low Oil Pressure
IF ONLY AMBER OIL PX caution ILLUMINATES:
- TERMINATE MANEUVER
- CHECK OIL PRESSURE; IF OIL PRESSURE IS NORMAL, CONTINUE OPERATIONS
IF RED OIL PX WARNING ILLUMINATES AND/OR AMBER OIL PX CAUTION REMAINS ILLUMINATED FOR 5 SECONDS, OIL PRESSURE FLUCTUATIONS, OR OIL
TEMPERATURE OUT OF LIMITS:
- PCL – MINIMUM NECESSARY TO INTERCEPT ELP; AVOID UNNECESSARY PCL MOVEMENTS
- PEL – EXECUTE
Low Fuel Pressure
- PEL – EXECUTE
