Q

Tailpipe Fire on the Ground.
No indications. Motoring the engine will normally blow out excess fuel and prevent fire from spreading. If FIRE PUSH annunciator is illuminated accomplish Engine Fire During Ground Operation checklist

A

IF A TAILPIPE FIRE OCCURS, PERFORM THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS:
1. Throttles - Cuttle (P)
2. Engine start select switch - As required (P)
3. Engine start button - Push (P)
IF FIRE DOES NOT EXTINGUISH
4. Accomplish Emergency Ground Egress

Emergency Ground Egress

A
  1. Crew and passengers - Advise (P)
  2. Throttles - CUTOFF (PF)
  3. Parking brake - As required (P) If hot brakes are suspect, do not set the parking brake.
  4. Oxygen system ready - Push (CP)
  5. Ground agency - Notified (PM)

Q

Tire Failure During Takeoff

A

If a tire failure occurs prior to S1, the takeoff should be aborted.
If tire failure occurs after S1, do not retract the landing gear. Do not change flap position. Refer to Tire Failure under LANDING EMERGENCIES.

Q

Engine Failure During Takeoff

A

Failure occurs at or above S1. Use 5 degrees of bank into the good engine. Use roll trim. Rotate to maintain Vco. Retract gear. Maintain Vco until reaching 400 ft AGL. Accelerate to Vco+10 upon reaching 400 AGL, retract the flaps. At Vco+15, set MCT power and continue climb to 2200 ft AGL or pattern altitude. Accomplish Engine Shutdown or Engine Failure During Flight checklist.
