Very thin, for diffusion, osmosis, filtration
Found in glomerular capsule, lung alveoli
Endothelium: lines blood vessels, lymph vessels, heart
Mesothelium: part of serious membranes; covers organs, lines all body cavities

Provides protection and transport
Highly mitotic at risk of cancer
ET is a vascular except glandular

Secretion and absorption; ducts of small glands
Found in parts of the kidney nephrons and forming small ducts of salivary glands

Absorbing material from fluid
Very fragile found in the

Functions in active transport, secretion, stronger than cuboidal
Ducts of some glands, stomach,
Ciliated: Fallopian tube, small bronchi
Microvilli: intestines
