> Remember the TV series when the guys are trying to throw the popcorn in the bowl one at the time and fail, and when they throw a handful at once and manage to get 3 inside. They increased their endpoints.
The more you generalize a specific measure for success, the easier it gets to achieve it.
People are deceived when someone pretend to have specific measure, when in fact they are going for generalized criteria (I can feel there´s an A and an M;… Woman says: my husband was Adam!)

Used to indicate that a casual relationship has erroneously been assumed from a merely sequential one.

Why people believe strange things, as opposed to a cognitive explanation?

A

People think that seemingly coincidences are much less likely to happen then they really are.
If there are 280 million people in the US, 280 times a day a one-in-a-million event will happen.

A

A type of subjective validation in which a person finds personal meaning in statements that could apply to many people. For example: You have a need for other people to like and admire you, and yet you tend to be critical of yourself.
