A seizure is a medical emergency if:
- it is the persons first seizure
- seizure lasts longer than 5 min
- multiple seizures occur in short period
- person stops breathig
- occurs in water
- person sustains injury during seizure

NO
When is epilepsy considered a chronic brain disorder?
When recurrent seizures are unprovoked and occur > 24hours apart.
If single seizure lasts less than 5 min, is hospitialization mandatory?
NO

Wind: loss of strength prior to seizures, oppression in chest. Fire: agitated emotional state, insomnia, yellow phlegm, constipation

1. blurred eyes, dry eyes, brittle nails (LR) Weak aching lower back and knees, dry stool (KD) 2. tiredness, poor appetite, lusterless complexion (lack production of Qi and Blood) Loose stool, nausea / vomiting (SP xu builds up damp, ST fx impaired)
