Emergency Shutdown on deck Checklist
1) Condition Levers – FUEL CUTOFF
If confirmed/suspected fire or fuel leak, continue checklist.
Otherwise, secure using Secure Checklist.
2) Firewall Valves – CLOSED
3) Boost Pumps – OFF
4) Fire Extinguisher – As Required
5) AUX BATT Switch – OFF
6) Gang Bar – OFF
7) Evacuate Aircraft
Abnormal Start
1) Condition Lever – FUEL CUTOFF (dec. below 790°C)
2) Starter – Starter only (for the remainder of the 40 seconds)
3) Starter – OFF (at 40 seconds)
Aborting Takeoff
1) Announce “Abort”
2) Power levers – IDLE
3) Reverse – As Required
4) Brakes – As Required
5) Condition levers – FUEL CUTOFF
6) Firewall valves – CLOSED
7) Boost pumps – OFF
8) Fire extinguisher(s) – As Required
9) AUX BATT switch – OFF
10) Gang bar – OFF
11) Evacuate aircraft
Engine Failure After Takeoff
1) Power – As Required
2) Gear – UP
3) Airspeed – As Required (VXSE or VYSE)
4) Emergency Shutdown Checklist – Execute
EGPWS Pull Up Warning (IMC or at Night)
1) Wings – Level
2) Power – Max Allowable
3) Pitch – As required to set and maintain VX
4) Flaps – Approach (unless already up)
5) Gear – Up
6) Flaps – Up
7) Props – 1900 rpm
8) Continue climb at VX until all visual and voice warnings cease
Low Altitude Windshear
1) Power – Maximum Allowable
2) Attitude – Set and Hold Approximately 15° Noseup
3) Gear – UP
4) Flaps – Maintain Current Setting
Spin/Out of Control Flight Recovery
1) Power Levers – Idle
2) Rudder – Full deflection opposite direction of turn needle
3) Control Wheel – Rapidly forward
4) Rudder – Neutralize after rotation stops
5) Control wheel – Pull out of dive by exerting smooth,
steady back pressure.
Windmilling Airstart
✝1) Power Lever (Failed Engine) – IDLE
✝2) Prop Lever (Failed Engine) – Full Forward
✝3) Condition Lever (Failed Engine) – FUEL CUTOFF
4) Firewall Valve – OPEN
5) Autoignition – ARMED
6) Condition Lever – LOW IDLE
7) Power – As Required

Single-Engine Waveoff/Missed Approach
1) Power – Max Allowable, establish positive rate of climb (VXSE minimum)
2) Flaps – APPROACH (unless already UP)
3) Gear - UP
4) Flaps - UP
5) Prop – 1900 RPM
Jammed Power Lever
✝1) Condition Lever – FUEL CUTOFF
2) Emergency Shutdown Checklist – Execute
Primary Governor Failure/Malfunction
1) Attempt to adjust prop rpm to normal operating range.
✝2) Power Lever – IDLE
✝3) Prop Lever – FEATHER
4) Alternate Prop Feathering Checklist – As Required
Generator Failure
1) Starter – OFF
2) Generator – OFF, Reset Momentarily, release slowly to ON
If generator will not reset:
3) Generator – OFF
4) Current limiter (Battery Ammeter) – Checked
Smoke and Fume Elimination
1) Oxygen masks/MIC switches (100 percent) – As Required
2) Pressurization – DUMP
Fuel Leak
