1. Temp- body enzymes work best at 36 degrees Celsius
2. PH- enzymes work best at a pH of 6-8 but enzymes in the stomach work at a lower pH
3. Inhibitors- compete with the substrate molecules for the active site of enzyme, can be competitive or non.
4. Concentration- more = faster
