Signs
A
Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae
Affects pigs of all ages in susceptible or naive herds
Acute disease (naive animals)
- 6 to 8 week incubation period
- severe acute pneumonia (coughing, fever, high mortality)
Chronic disease
- 7 to 12 weeks of age (after maternal antibody wanes)
- non-productive cough
- lung lesions at slaughter (may be subclinical)
