Q

unifying principles of exposure related diseases (lung)

A
  1. Environmental and occupational disease is common
  2. The Clinical and pathologic expression of such disease is usually indistinguishable from that of non-occupational origin
  3. Much such disease is multifactorial, with non-occupational factors (cigarette smoking) playing a contributory role
  4. The effects of occupational exposures often occur after a biologically predictable interval (latency) post-exposure
  5. The dose of exposure is usually the strongest predictor of the (likelihood and type of) effect
  6. People differ in their response to noxious exposures
