There are 15 national parks in the UK
What are the aims of national parks?
The aims are as stated; To consereve natural beauty, and wildife.
Also to promote opportinites for understanding and enjoyment for the public
What conflics are there related with national parks?
Many people such as farmers don’t want land for tourists, they want the land for themselfes to farm.
Tourism disturbes the natural habitats and wildlife and also creates more traffic.
What is conflict?
Conflict is when there is a disagreement over how somthing should be used.
What is a HIC?
A HIC is a High Income Country
Name a national park in a HIC (e.g. Britain)
The Peak District National Park. It attracts vistiors per year.
Name 2 national parks in England, 1 in Wales, and 1 in Scotland

What is sustaiable development?
Being able to meet the needs of people today without compromising the abilty of future generations to meet their needs.
What is conservation?
This means the protection of the environment.
What is enviromental planning and mangement?
Planning that allows many different uses of land.
What is an example of conservation?
Laying stones on footpaths using pay and display car parks.
What is stewardship?
This involve s looking after the environment for future generations.
