What were the steps that led to the the American Revolution? (Module 12 Lesson 4)
- Americans are taxed highly to pay for the French and Indian War. They feel this is unjust as they do not have representation in Britain. American colonist want to separate from British Rule.
- The colonists are forced to purchase only British goods as part of the Navigation Act.
- Their tea is taxed leading to the Boston Tea Party.
- There is also the Stamp Act which taxes all paper documents and goods.
Who helps the American Colonists in the Revolutionary War? Why?
The French help the American Colonists because they were eager to weaken the British
