Hints or clues about a word in surrounding sentences.
What is exposition?
The beginning of a story where setting, characters, conflict are introduced.
What is a inciting incident?
The event or decision that begins a story’s problem.
What is rising action?
Events in the story where suspense builds, most of the story occurs in the rising action.
What is climax?
The turning point of a story, where the character faces the main conflict.
What is falling action?
The events leading to the end of the story.
What is the resolution/denouement?
The end of the story.
