Finding information: Where to search?
Books, videos, websites, blogs, magazines, newspapers, journals, podcast
What type of information is it?
Whether it is a printed source of information (such as a book), or, an online source of information (such as an article from a periodical = magazines, and journals) / Don’t just accept any source, choose your sources carefully!
What is a database?
An organized collection of information. You can think of a database as an electronic filing system.
Why do we use databases?
Databases are used to store, organize, and retrieve large amounts of data, quickly. Therefore, databases can be used in any situation where data needs to be found quickly.

What is EBSCO?
EBSCO is a provider for many databases. All EBSCO databases use the same interface or platform, so they look the same but search different collections of information.
What is JSTOR?
JSTOR is an online collection of full-text articles, books and primary sources from a variety of academic disciplines.
