What is Scene Analysis
Scene Analysis refers to the techniques used in the scene.
What are different types of film techniques
- Extreme close up shot
- Close up shot
- Mid shot

What is Extreme Close up
Extreme close up is when the camera focuses on a specific part of the body for e.g. it only shows the face..
What is Close up
Close up is when the camera shows shoulders up.
What is Long shot
Long shot is when the camera shows the characters whole body and its background.
What is Mid shot
Mid shot when it only shows the characters waist and up.
What is Wide shot
Wide shot is when the camera shot shows a lot of the scenery in the scene.
What is Mise-en Scene
Mise-en scene is when the directors take a blank set and turn it into the scenes you see in movies.
What is Low key lighting
Low key lighting is when the lighting in the scene is dim. This sets the mood to like a sad, evil, depressed type of mood.
What is High key lighting
High key lighting is when the scene is really bright with lots of light coming into, say the room/bedroom. This can really show the characters mood.
What is Diegetic sound
Diegetic sound is when the characters hear the sound that is happening around them.
What is Non-Diegetic sound
Non-Diegetic sound is when the characters in the film can’t hear the sound the people watching the movie can hear and example of this could be narration.
What is POV
POV is when the camera shows a view of what the character sees in the scene a real life example of this could be playing a first person shooter as you would feel like you are doing what the character in the gamer would be doing.
