A comparison of two things using ‘like’ or’ as’

Saying that something is something else that is unrelated

A break between words in the middle of a line

A structial, idea or sentence onto the next line
What is tone and tonal shift
Tone is the atmosphere or mood created, highlighting on evoking particular emotions. Tonal shift is is a delibrate shift in tone that was planned all along

A line or verse with five metrical feet, each consisting of one short syllable

inanimate objects that are given human qualities

Consecutive words that start with the same letter or sound

Ordered pattern of rhymes at the ends of the lines of a poem or a verse
