Members of nobility who helped govern the country. (Monitored parliament, Justices of the peace and oversaw law and order/ security of country)

Advised Elizabeth’s Government-Made up of the House of Lords (noblemen+ Bishops) and the House of Commons.

Noblemen, appointed by government, governed English counties and resided the local militia (-a force of ordinary people- raised in emergency)

A force of ordinary people (non professionals) raised in an emergency situation.
