IAE after start engine figures
EPR: ? N1: ? % N2: ? % EGT: ? degC FF: ? lb/hr
EPR: 1.01 N1: 21.4 % N2: 57.8 % EGT: 414 degC FF: 775 lb/hr
Engine Starter re-attempts sequence
Starter must not be run when N2 is ? on the ground and ? In flight.
1 / 15 / 3 / 30
A. 1 start attempt is one cycle
B. 15 seconds pause between cycles
C. After 3 failed cycles there is a 30 minutes cooling period
The starter must not be run when N2 is above 10% on the ground and 18% in flight
Time limit for take off / go around with all engines operative and EGT limit? (TOGA/FLEX)
One engine inoperative time limit? EGT limit? (TOGA/FLEX)
All engines operative: 5 mins
One engine inoperative: 10 mins
Max EGT limit: 635degC for both
Maximum MCT time limit? EGT limit?
No time limit. EGT max is 610degC
Max temperature for starting on the ground and in flight?
On the ground and in flight: 635degC
Max N1 and N2 shaft speeds?
N1: 100%, N2: 100%
Engine oil flight quantity
11 qt/hr + average consumption (.3 qt/hr for every hour flown)
Max continuous oil temperature
155degC
Max oil transient temp (15 mins)
165degC
Minimum oil start temp
-40degC
Minimum oil temperature before take off
-10degC
Is reverse thrust allowed in flight?
No
Is backing the aircraft with reverse thrust prohibited?
Yes
Maximum thrust for IAE V2500
25,000lbs per engine
Why are we not allowed to take off earlier than 2 minutes after the last engine is started?
To allow the completion of the 2 minute center tank test
