Engine Failure on Runway
A
- Maintain Centerline with rudder
- Remain visual with the runway until it disappears
- Slight increase in rudder when lifting off runway

Engine Failure at Liftoff
A
- Rotate at Vr initially to 12° nose up, then follow pitch guidance
- Scan heading to ensure desired track is maintained
- Reference slip indicator in addition to heading

- Roll mode – Hdg Sel or LNAV
- Autothrottles – OFF
- Talk to tower – declare emergency

- Start APU
- Trim 5 units rudder into the good engine

A
- Reduce thrust to maintain desired speed
- Coordinate rudder with thrust changes
- The nose wants to pitch down with thrust reduction – Stab Trim!
- Engage A/P after aircraft is fully trimmed
