A

No

26
Q

Where does the thermocouple harness assembly measure the temperature of the gases for the engine?

A

27
Q

In the event of an airframe electrical system failure, what position will the anti-ice/start bleed valve be in?

A

Open

28
Q

How many Volts AC does the engine-driven alternator provide for the engine electrical system?

A

115 VAC

29
Q

Which power level quadrant requires electrical power (BATT or EXT PWR) to manipulate engine power levers?

A

CPG power quadrant

30
Q

When a power lever is advanced into LOCKOUT, what automatic features are lost?

A

Np governing and TGT limiting

31
Q

What is the ignition override switch (IGN ORIDE position) used for?

A

The switch is discreet and will be used to abort automatic start sequence or disengage the ATS output if the sprag clutch fails to disengage

32
Q

What are the Power Available Spindle (PAS) and the Load Demand Spindle (LDS) on the CHMU stage to in the crew stations?

A

The PAS is attached to the pilots power levers, and the LDS is connected to the collective servo’s bell crank

33
Q

What happens to both engines when the engine chop is pressed?

A

The Np reference is removed, the engines will immediately decelerate to idle speed, and an ENG CHOP Warning message will be appear on the EUFD and a voice message will announce “engine chop”

34
Q

The MPD ENG page displays what three formats?

A

Ground, Flight, and Emergency format

35
Q

What two status windows (only one at a time) may appear in the upper right of the flight format when associated systems are outside operating ranges?

A

Engine oil pressure and hydraulic system pressures

36
Q

Which status window of the two has priority when both systems are out of limits?

A

Hydraulic systems status window

37
Q

When the ENG page auto pages to emergency format in response to an active Warning, how to you revert back to Flight format?

A

Acknowledge button (ACK, B4)

38
Q

39
Q

What are two types of engine HIT checks that can be performed?

A

A

5 degree C

43
Q

What does it indicate when the TGT values are getting close to the established limits?

A

Engine performance degradation

44
Q

Accessory Section components:

A

-CHMU
-Fuel boost pump
-Oil filter
-Oil cooler
-Alternator
-Oil lube and scavenge pump
-Inlet particle separator
-Fuel filter assembly
-Chip detector
-Oil/fuel filter bypass sensors
-Oil/fuel pressure sensors
-Overspeed and drain valve (ODV)
-Air turbine starter (ATS)

45
Q

What is the Hot Start Prevention and what does it do?

A

Its a part of the EDECU and prevents overtemperature during engine start by activating a solenoid in the overspeed drain valve when Np and Ng are below their respective hot start reference and TGT exceeds 900 degrees C. This shuts off fuel flow and causes the engine to shut down.

46
Q

What is the MTRA? What does it do?

A

Maximum Torque Rate Attenuator: reduces fuel flow and limits rate of torque increase to approximately 12% per second when transient engine torque exceeds 100% during an uncompensated maneuver

47
Q

What is the TDI? What does it do?

A

Transient Droop Improvement Circuit: Prevents Nr droop during collective applications by increasing Nr if rapid collective is applied without continued demand being placed on the rotor system from a torque setting of less than or equal to 12% tq DE on TDI

48
Q

When will dual engine contingency be activated?

A

When Np is less than or equal to 97% or Np is decelerating at 5% per sec or greater. Either condition met will increase the normal dual engine TGT limiter setting to 903

49
Q

When is dual engine contingency power deactivated?

A

When Np recovers to greater than or equal to 99.5% and TGT is less than 879, TGT limiter resets to normal in one second

50
Q

How does the Np Overspeed Protection System work?

A

If Np meets or exceeds 118.1 plus or minus 1%, two frequency sensing circuits output a signal to the overspeed system causing the ODV to shutoff fuel flow to the engine
