Q

What is Qcell’?

A

Reaction Quotient (Mass Action Ratio):
calculated in the same way as Keq’ except that the
reaction does not have to be at equilibrium.

  • At equilibrium, Qcell’ = Keq’.

Q

What is ΔG’?

A

Actual Free Energy Change:
free energy change for a reaction that does not assume anything other than pH7 and dilute reaction condition.
All deviations from standard conditions must be indicated.

  • ΔG’ = 0 at equilibrium

Q

What is ΔG’o?

A

Standard Free Energy Change:
free energy change for any reaction under standard conditions (everything at 1 M).

  • In this state, Qcell = 1
