What is one fact about energy you have to always remmeber?
Energy can never be destroyed or created it’s only ever transferred between different forms and objects.
What happens when energy is transferred?
The energy is stored in one of that energy stores.
What are the 8 energy stores?
Magnetic.(Magnets).
Thermal.(Heat energy).
Chemical.(Held in chemical bonds).
Kinetic.(Movement or motion of an object).
Electrostatic.(Electric).
Elastic potential.(Anything stretchy).
Gravitational potential.(The energy in the gravitational field).
Nuclear.(What we get from breaking atoms apart).
What special about all the 8 energy stores?
The energy in them is never stored instead it can be transferred from one to another.
How can energy stores be transferrd?
Electrically,mechanically,heating,radiation and sound
What is a system?
The collection of a group or a single object.
What is an open system?
The matter in the system can exchange energy with the outside world which is all the matter outside of our matter
What is a closed system?
No matter and no energy can leave the matter and the over all change is always 0.
