6
Q

What does the Ear Eustachian Tube do?

A

Controls the pressure within the ear and making the air pressure the same from outside the body. Connects the middle ear to the nasopharynx.

7
Q

What does the Oval window do?

A

An opening that leads from the middle ear to the inner ear and vibrations travel through the ossicles and into the inner ear.

16
Q

How does Concave lens bend light?

A

The reflected light diverges

17
Q

How does Convex lens bend light?

A

The reflected light is converged

18
Q

What happens to light as it moves through different mediums

A

When light passes through less or more dense mediums the light can bended and this is called refraction.

19
Q

What is Conduction?

A

Direct contact, kinetic and thermal energy is transferred from one object to another

20
Q

What is Convection?

A

Transferred by the movement of a liquid of different temperatures

21
Q

What is Radiation?

A

The transmission of energy moved in the form of waves through a medium or material.

22
Q

Examples of conduction

A

Cooking pizza

On the stove cooking pasta

23
Q

Examples of Convection

A

Boiling water
A steaming cup of hot tea
Lava lamp

24
Q

Examples of Radiation

A

The heat from a stove
Light from the sun
Microwave oven

25
Q

What is short-sighted?

A

Distant objects to appear blurred

26
Q

What is long-sighted

A

Close objects to appear blurred

27
Q

How can short-sighted be fixed

A

Concave Glasses

28
Q

How can long-sighted be fixed

A

Convex glasses

29
Q

What happens when a pen is put into the glass of water?

A

Bend inwards
