What are the three main types of nutrients found in all foods?
Carbohydrates
Protein
Fats
Name three food sources for carbohydrates.

Starchy vegetables (potatos and peas)
Sugars

oils
nuts
dairy products (milk and cheese)

How are carbohydrates stored?
Carbs are stored in limited supply as glycogen an ideal source of energy due to how easy it is to break down.
How are proteins stored?
proteins are stored as amino acids, used for muscle growth and repair rather then an energy source. (takes a long time to metabolize for energy)
How are fats stored?
Fats are stored as fatty acids in abundant supply. Fats are an ideal energy source for low- to moderate-intensity activity. (takes longer then carbs to metabolise but last longer).
