What can being overweight increase risk of developing?
Obesity.
Type 2 diabetes.
Coronary heart disease.
What are cooking methods to increase or decrease energy intake?
Adding fat to food-butter to potatoes.
Grilling foods.
Thinking about how you cook food.
Sugar substitutes can be used to reduce the energy value of drinks and other dishes.
Foods that carry a high proportion of water are low in energy as water doesn’t contain energy.
How much exercise per week should we be doing?
75 minutes of vigorous or 150 minutes of moderate physical activity.
