Energy Flashcards
3s1
What is energy?
Energy is essntal for everyone of us Energy help to do every thing .
How many type of Energy?
.Kinetic
.Heat
.Light
.Chemical
.Elastic Potential
.Gravitational Potential
.Electrostatic
.Magnetic
.Nuclear
.Internal (Thermal)
What is Kinetic Energy?
Kinetic is the energy of moving object and it depend on mass speed object.
What is Heat Energy?
Heat Energy flow from hot object from clod object.
What is Elastic Potentail Energy?
Elastic Potentail Energy is stored in stretched or squashed materail.
What is Gravitational Potential Energy?
Gravitational Potential Energy is the type of Energy on object stores due to its hieght above the ground.
What is Chemical Energy?
Chemical Energy is the energy stored in the bonds that connect atoms and molecule together.
What is sound energy?
Sound Energy is the energy stored in a sound waves.
What is light energy?
Light energy is a form of energy which our eye can detect.
What is electric energy?
Electric energy is also a form of energy assciated with moving charge.
What is magnetic energy?
The energy stored when repelling poles have been pushed closer together or when attracting poles have been pulled further.
What is internal (thermal) energy?
The total kinetic and potential energy of the particles in on object, in most cases this is the vibrations - also known as the kinetic energy - of particles. In hotter objects, the particles have more internal energy and vibrate faster.
What is electrostatic energy?
The energy stored when repelling charges have been moved closer together or when attracting charges have been pulled further apart.
What are three main equation?
1.Kinetic energy = 1/2 x mass x velocity squared.
Ke=1/2 x m x v squared.
2.Gravitational (potential) energy = mass x gravitational field strength x height.
Ep = m x g x h.
3.Elastic (potential) energy = 1/2 x forces x extension of the spring.
Ee = 1/2 x f x e.
Can energy be dissipation?
No system this is perfect. whenever there is a change in a system, energy is transferred and some of that energy is dissipated.
