4 principles of yin and Yang imbalance

A
  1. Excess Yang: strong signs of heat. Tongue, red with possible yellow coating. Eat cooling yin foods, avoid stress, gentle exercise
  2. Deficient Yin: moderate signs of heat like low grade fever or night sweats. Tongue: red, cracked and dry,
    Eat nourishing yin foods, sleep more, avoids stressful situations
  3. Excess Yin: moderate signs of cold such as blue tongue or skin, stabbing pains or cramps
    Tongue blue with possible thick white coating
    Eat warming foods, stay warm
  4. Deficient Yang: moderate signs of cold eg diarrhoea, tiredness, lethargy
    Tongue lake, swollen, wet
    Eat nourishing foods, avoid cold exposure, stress, do moderate exercise
