- Clean with glutaraldehyde or chlorhexidine

A
- Light is completely reflected back within the high-quality glass due to cladding

A
- Visualising lining of tissues for diagnosis e.g., neoplasia, inflammation, ulceration
- Assess normal function e.g., movement of vocal cords
- Biopsy/lavage/cytology
- Removal of foreign body/cartilage

What are the indications for bronchoscopy?
A
- Chronic cough
- Examine structure of trachea for collapse, trauma, masses, FB and inflammation e.g., pneumonia and bronchitis
