How do you classify it?
A
Type 1: well differentiated adenocarcinoma ?oestrogen responsive
Type 2: high grade, worse prognosis. ?eostrogen not responsive

Risk factors?
A
Increased endogenous oestrogen
- obesity
- pcos
- early menarche, late menopause
Increased exogenous oestrogen
- tamoxifen
- oestrogen only hrt
Hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC)

Signs and symptoms?
A
95% present with Abnormal intermenstrual uterine bleeding/post-menopausal
Vaginal discharge?

Investigations?
A
Lab Endometrial sampling - D+C - aspiration biopsy with pipelle Tumour marker Ca-125
Rad
US transvaginal: endometrial thickness > 4mm
CT/MRI abdominal and pelvic for spread

Staging and prognostic factors?
A
FIGO
Figo Age Grade Histology Depth Hormonal receptor status

Treatment?
A
Majority diagnosed stage 1 low risk -> surgery with hysterectomy/bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy
Few after receive adjuvant radiotherapy an chemotherapy.
