Conn’s Syndrome

A
  • usually caused by a tumor that can be removed surgically
  • good prognosis
  • Aldosterone is secreted in excess
    • excess retention of Na+ & H20 and abnormal loss of potassium in the urine
    • HTN, paralysis, polydipsia (d/t salt retention)
