What are the 4 types of diabetes insipidus?

A

Central - lack of ADH (injury or genetics)

Nephrogenic - lack of response to ADH. Genetics or acquired: hypercalcaemia, hypokalaemia, lithium amphotericin B, orlistat, ifosfamide, ofloxacin, cidofovir, vaptans

Dipsogenic - excessive fluid intake due to damaged hypothalamic thirst mechanism
