  3. Inj. INSULIN GLARGINE 14U Subcutaneously at bedtime
    ADVICE:

Hypothyroidism

A

1.Tab. LEVOTHYROXINE SODIUM (1.6µcg/kg/day) 25 microgram per oral to be taken on
an empty stomach once daily for one month
ADVICE:
 Avoid consuming cruciferous vegetables and foods with soy
 Review after one month
 Plasma TSH to be monitored and dose adjustments can be done after one month

Hyperthyroidism

Rx
1.Tab. CARBIMAZOLE 5–15 mg per oral three times a day initially for 4-8 weeks followed
by maintenance dose 2.5–10 mg once daily in 1–2 divided doses for 6 months
Advice:
 Review after one month
 Stop after 12-18 months
