Four significance of the storming of the Bastille
- King lost control of Paris as commune was set up to run the city
- led to emigration of some nobles led by King’s brother. 20,00 emigres fled in 2 months
- Louis now had to share power with National Assembly
- news of the revolt spread to other towns and cities, which intensified activity amongst peasants
