what is emotion?
A
Emotion is a feeling you have inside yourself that comes from something happening either within or outside of yourself.

what are the four components of the emotion?
A
- physiological.
- Cognitive, feeling
- Physical, Behavioural
- Emotional, behavioural

explain each of the four components of emotion.
A
- Physiological part of changes in bodily arousal. I.e: heart rate, temperature, and breathing.
- Cognitive, feeling is subjective appraisal. We interpret the stimuli.
- Physical, behavioural is the expression of the motion, verbally and nonverbally. For example, smiling, frowning, whining, laughing.
Body expressions- we read other pol’s body language. - emotional, behavioral- keeping the emotion present (happiness) or removing it (sadness)

Emotional expressions have the same meaning for everyone. - Darwin
- Anger, disgust, fear, happiness, sadness, and surprise

- Behavioural displays of the emotion- facial expressions
- Self-reports of emotion. - sometimes inaccurate
- Psychophysiological reactions.- face electromyography, heart rate.
