1 breath every 5 sec

What is the appropriate procedure to follow if your patient is hyperventilating?
Reassure patient
Have them breathe into a bag to build up the carbon dioxide level
Hold their breath and breathe slowly and calmly
What is a concern for your patient after they have had an epileptic seizure?
They can have respiratory arrest
Maintain an open airway
Monitor breathing
Prevent patient from injury during and after seizure
How can you tell the difference between and angina attack and a myocardial infarction?
Angina= relieved by nitroglycerin (2-3min)
If after nitroglycerin admin pain is still present or more severe then treat as myocardial infarction
Your patient has a fruity or acetone smelling breath and complains of being very thirsty what is wrong and what should you do?
Patient suffering from diabetic acidosis and needs insulin
Your patient is anxious, coughing and has severe pain in lower jaw what is wrong and what should you do?

Get patient to emergency facility
