ENGINE FAILURE OR FIRE, MASTER WARNING,
OR ANY OTHER ABNORMAL EVENT DURING TAKEOFF (A1):
SPEED BELOW V1 – TAKEOFF REJECTED
- Takeoff — ABORT
a. Maintain directional control
b. Brakes – MAXIMUM PILOT EFFORT
c. Throttles – IDLE
d. Speed Brakes – Extend
e. Control Column – FORWARD PRESSURE
f. Thrust Reverser(s) (Nosewheel on Ground) – DEPLOY ON UNAFFECTED ENGINE
ENGINE FAILURE OR FIRE, MASTER WARNING,
OR ANY OTHER ABNORMAL EVENT DURING TAKEOFF (A1):
SPEED ABOVE V1 – TAKEOFF CONTINUED
- Climb to safe altitude.
a. Maintain directional control
b. Accelerate to VR – ROTATE
c. Landing Gear – UP (after positive rate of climb)
d. Climb – V2 until level off altitude - FLAPS – Retract at level off altitude and V2+10 KIAS, accelerate to VENR (160 KIAS)
LH OR RH ENGINE FIRE (ENGINE FIRE) (A2)
- Throttle (Affected Engine) — IDLE
IF ENGINE FIRE REMAINS ILLUMINATED 15 SECONDS (PROBABLE
FIRE) - Illuminated ENGINE FIRE Switchlight (Affected
Engine) — LIFT COVER and PUSH - Either Illuminated BOTTLE ARMED Switchlight —
PUSH (BOTTLE ARMED switchlight extinguishes)
ENGINE FAILURE DURING FINAL APPROACH (B1)
- AP TRIM DISC Button — PRESS & RELEASE
- Thrust (Operating Engine) — INCREASE AS
REQUIRED - Airspeed — VAPP (minimum)
- Flaps — T.O. & APPR (15°)
EMERGENCY RESTART – TWO ENGINES (Refer to Airstart Envelope – Tab (C2)(D1))
- IGNITION Switches — BOTH ON
- FUEL BOOST Switches — BOTH ON
- Throttles — IDLE
THRUST REVERSER INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT DURING TAKEOFF (I1):
SPEED BELOW V1 – TAKEOFF ABORTED
- Takeoff — ABORT
a. Maintain directional control
b. Brakes – MAXIMUM PILOT EFFORT
c. Throttles – IDLE
d. Speed Brakes – Extend
e. Control Column – FORWARD PRESSURE
f. Thrust Reverser(s) (Nosewheel on Ground) – BOTH DEPLOY (use as required, if no fire)
THRUST REVERSER INADVERTENT DEPLOYMENT DURING TAKEOFF (I1):
SPEED AT OR ABOVE V1 – TAKEOFF CONTINUED
- Emergency STOW switch (Affected Engine) —
EMER - Throttle (Affected Engine) — CHECK IDLE
- Climb to a safe altitude.
a. Maintain directional control
b. Accelerate to VR – ROTATE
c. Landing Gear – UP (after positive rate of climb)
d. Airspeed – V2 until level off altitude (do not exceed 150 KIAS until thrust reverser stows).
THRUST REVERSER INADVERTENT IN-FLIGHT
DEPLOYMENT (I2)
- Control Wheel/AP TRIM DISC Button —
GRIP/PRESS and RELEASE - Emergency STOW Switch (Affected Engine) —
EMER - Throttle (Affected Engine) — CHECK IDLE
- Airspeed — REDUCE to 150 KIAS OR BELOW
THRUST REVERSER UNLOCK LIGHT ON IN FLIGHT (J1)
- Emergency STOW Switch (Affected Engine) —
EMER
CAB ALT (CABIN DECOMPRESSION) (M1)
- Oxygen Masks — DON and 100% OXYGEN
- Microphone Switches — MIC OXY MASK
3. Emergency Descent — AS REQUIRED (refer to EMERGENCY DESCENT (Tab M4))
EMERGENCY DESCENT (M4)
- AP TRIM DISC Button — PRESS and RELEASE
- Throttles — IDLE
- Speed Brakes — EXTEND
- Airplane Pitch Attitude — INITIALLY TARGET 20°
NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE
ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM SMOKE OR ODOR (N1)
- Oxygen Masks — DON and EMER
2. Microphone Switches — MIC OXY MASK
SMOKE REMOVAL (N2)
- Oxygen Masks — DON and EMER
2. Microphone Switches — MIC OXY MASK
ELECTRICAL FIRE OR SMOKE (O3)
- Oxygen Masks — DON and EMER
2. Microphone Switches — MIC OXY MASK
BATT O’TEMP (BATTERY OVERTEMPERATURE
– NiCad ONLY) (O4)
- Amperage — NOTE
- BATT Switch — EMER
- Amperage — NOTE DECREASE
