What initial investigations would be important for a woman of child bearing age presenting with severe, right sided abdominal pain?

Answer 1

Ultrasound - visualise ovarian pathology + appendix
Pregnancy test - raised bHCG may indicate ruptured ectopic
Bloods (CRP, ESR, WCC) - Appendicitis or other infection
