Types of shock
Hypovolimic : hemorrhagic most common
Obstructive
Distributive: Neurogenic, anaphylactic, septic
cardiogenic
Hypo perfusion
Life-threatening, occurs when circulatory system fails to provide adequate oxygenated blood to body; shock.
Hypovolimic shock
Severe lack of blood and fluid.
Commonly occurs from blood loss, internal or external, bleeding causing decrease in blood volume.
Early stages of shock
Rapid breathing Increased pulse Apprehension/anxiety Lower temperature Decrease/normal blood pressure Pale, ashen, cool skin
Later stages of shock
Listlessness and confusion Slow, shallow, irregular breathing Decreased blood pressure Rapid, weak, irr pulse Pale, cold, clammy skin Dilated pupils

Heart attack signs and symptoms?
Chest pressure /pain
Sternum pain and radiate to arm/shoulder.
Pain M to neck, jaw, upper back and abdomen.
Shortness of breath/nausea/sweating.
Increased pulse
Heart attack general care?
Monitor abc's Comfort and reassure Sample history Vitals Reassess
Seizure signs and symptoms?
Aura: unusual sensation or feeling prior to onset
Drooling

eyes roll up
Urinate
Defecate
Sudden uncontrollable muscle contractions
Seizure general care?

Anaphylactic shock signs and symptoms
Burning Itching Breaking out Hives or rash Difficult rapid breathing Chest pain/wheezing Rapid/ very weak/ undetected pulse Restlessness followed by fainting/ unconsciousness
