Engine failure below V1
- Throttle - IDLE
- Airbrakes - EXTEND
- Braking - MAXIMUM
- Drag Chute - AS REQUIRED
Engine failure above V1, Takeoff continued
- Vr - Rotate
- Takeoff attitude - SET
- Airspeed - Maintain V2 minimum
@ Positive rate
4. Landing Gear - UP
5. Both bleed air switches - CLOSED
@ 400’ AGL (minimum)
6. Accelerate to Vfr - FLAPS UP
7. Climb speed - Vfs to 1500’ AGL (minimum)
Engine Fire
- Horn - SILENCE
- Throttle - IDLE
- T-handle - PULL
- Bleed Air - CLOSED
- Airframe Anti-ice - OFF
- Airspeed - REDUCE
- Extinguisher - POSITION 1
If light stays on after 30 seconds
8. Extinguisher - POSITION 2
Electrical smoke or fire
- Aux Bus - OFF
- Source Known - ISOLATE CIRCUIT
- Floor heat/defog - HOT
- Crew O2 - ON/100%/SELECT MIC
- Goggles - ON
- Descent - BEGIN
Cabin smoke or fire
- Crew O2 - ON/100%/SELECT MIC
- Goggles - AS REQUIRED
- Floor heat/defog - HOT
Smoke from air conditioning system
- Crew O2 - ON/100%/SELECT MIC
- Goggles - AS REQUIRED
Rear compartment fire
- Horn - SILENCE
- Batteries - OFF
- Airframe anti-ice - OFF
- Throttles - REDUCE
- Bleed Air Switches - CLOSE
- Extinguisher rear compartment - POSITION 1
Wheel well fire
- Horn - SILENCE
- Airspeed - REDUCE
- Gear - DOWN
- Land - ASAP
Fuel odors
- Crew O2 - ON/100%/SELECT MIC
- Cabin altitude - INCREASE
Rapid depressurization / Emergency descent
- Crew O2 - ON/100%/SELECT MIC
- Autopilot - DISENGAGE
- Igniter - ON
- Throttles - IDLE
- Airbrakes - EXTEND
- Bank - 45º MAX
- Descent - BEGIN
- Airspeed - 200 kts to Mmo/Vmo
- Transponder - 7700
Failure of 2 generators
- AUX Bus - OFF
- Generators - ATTEMPT RESET (2 MAXIMUM Each)
- If generators do not reset - BOTH OFF
Total loss of hydraulic power
- Airspeed - 200 kts max
- Autopilot - DISENGAGE
-Avoid abrupt changes in attitude and turbulence
Horizontal trim runaway
- Indicator - DIRECTION CHECKED
- Normal trim - OPPOSITE DIRECTION
- Emergency trim - ENGAGE
- CONTINUE FLIGHT WITH EMERGENCY CONTROL
Takeoff with horizontal stabilizer out of trim / Go-around with jammed stabilizer (Nose down)
NOSE DOWN –
1. Accelerate Normally
2. Normal climb attitude - SET AND MAINTAIN
NOTE - Yoke may have to be pulled full aft!
Takeoff with horizontal stabilizer out of trim / Go-around with jammed stabilizer (Nose up)
NOSE UP –
1. Power - Reduce to not exceed 20º nose up
2. Airspeed - V2 + 20
3. Flaps - 25º ASAP
NOTE - Bank may be required to limit the pitch attitude
