Emergency Electric Power Flashcards
Emergency Gen powered via two methods:
-Big Green: One or both engine driven pumps power the Green system.
-Little Green: The RAT only powers the Green system. Depending on airspeed 15-45% of engine driven pump.
Automatic activation of Emergency Elec Configuration:
Big Green:
Little Green:
Big Green:
-Loss of AC bus 1 and 2.
-Both Engine driven Gens trip offline.
Little Green:
-Loss of both engines
-Loose all engine Generators
Big Green hydraulic powers the Emergency Gen:
Loss of AC Bus 1 and 2/ both engine Gens trip offline, Busses remaining and displays remaining:
-4 Busses remain powered:
- AC Essential
- AC Essential Shed
- DC Essential
- DC Essential Shed
Displays remaining:
- Captains PFD, ND, E/WD
Little Green powers Emergency Generator, remaining busses:
- Little Green powered by RAT
- 2 Busses remain powered: AC Essential, DC Essential.
Displays remaining:
-Captains PFD, E/WD
If the Emergency Gen is powered by the RAT. On Landing:
- Will disconnect when Slats are extended.
- Can be reactivated w/ MAN ON PB after Slats are retracted.
- Airspeed less than 140 kts RAT isn’t effective.
- Batteries are only power from them on.
Land Recovery PB:
When A/C in Emergency Elec Configuration:
- Land Recovery AC and DC busses are shed.
-Contain systems required for landing but not Cruise. - Will remain shed even if normal Power is restored.
Land Recovery PB recovers the land recovery AC and DC buses:
Restores systems required for landing:
-If Big Green:
- LGCIU 1
- SFCC 1
- BSCU CH 1
- LH Windshield heat
- LH Landing Light
Land Recovery PB:
If Little Green powers Emergency Gen, systems powered:
Remaining:
- LGCIU 1
- SFCC 1 - Slat Channel only
